The day was cold and the course was wet, but that did not take away from the great day we had at Royal Cape, which was in excellent condition considering the amount of rain that we had. The course is stunning, with the greens and fairways being in incredible condition.

I was fortunate to play with Rodney Richards, the captain of Royal Cape as Theo Van Zyl (aka Tom Jones) and Dudley Meredith. It was a lot of fun and the golf was not too bad either.

We had a good field of 111 players with a good number of visitors.

We had the induction of Andries Laubscher as well, but due to prize giving being virtual, I was not able to put his blazer on him. We will rectify that as soon as we are able.

Well done to all the winners on the day Rayvin Rademeyer on 38 pts, Brett Adams on 39 pts and Stuart Buchanan on 37 pts.

Thanks again to everyone for a magnificent day and especially to Lisa and ensuring that our registration and prize giving went off smoothly.

As you all know we had to go back to virtual prize giving which unfortunately was poorly attended and we hope to return to normality soon.
